SupportSyndicate + Klaviyo

Turn resolved support tickets and CSAT scores into Klaviyo email flows automatically.

SupportSyndicate's Klaviyo integration pushes support event data — ticket resolutions, CSAT scores, escalation flags, and sentiment signals — into Klaviyo as profile properties and custom events. This lets your email marketing team build flows that respond to support outcomes: a 5-star post-resolution review request, a win-back sequence for customers who escalated, or a loyalty offer when a long-tenure customer contacts support for the first time.

What data flows between the two systems

Every event, record, and update that passes between SupportSyndicate and Klaviyo.

Ticket resolved eventSS sends

Sends a custom Klaviyo event on ticket close, with properties: resolution_type, agent_name, handle_time_minutes, csat_score.

CSAT score profile propertySS sends

Updates the Klaviyo profile with the customer's latest CSAT score and a rolling 90-day average.

Sentiment flagSS sends

Sets a sentiment_last_contact property (positive / neutral / negative) on the Klaviyo profile for segmentation.

Escalation eventSS sends

Fires a separate Klaviyo event when a conversation escalates to a human, enabling a proactive follow-up flow.

Suppress active support contactsSS receives

Klaviyo can suppress contacts who have an open ticket from promotional sends — preventing marketing emails during an active issue.

How to set up the Klaviyo integration

Most teams are live in under 15 minutes. No developer required.

01

Add your Klaviyo private API key

In SupportSyndicate Dashboard → Integrations → Klaviyo, paste your Klaviyo Private API Key. The connection verifies against your Klaviyo account.

02

Select sync events

Choose which events to send: Ticket Resolved, Escalated, and/or CSAT Submitted. Each is a separate toggle.

03

Map the email field

Confirm the customer email field SupportSyndicate uses to match Klaviyo profiles. Email is the default identifier; phone is an optional fallback.

04

Build the Klaviyo flow

In Klaviyo, create a Flow triggered by the 'SupportSyndicate Ticket Resolved' event. Use the csat_score property to branch: ≥4 stars → review request, <3 stars → support manager alert.

What teams use this integration for

Post-resolution review request

Customers who close a ticket with CSAT ≥ 4 stars receive an automated Klaviyo email 24 hours later asking for a Trustpilot or Google review.

Churn-risk win-back

Customers flagged with negative sentiment or escalation in the last 30 days enter a Klaviyo win-back sequence with a discount or account credit offer.

VIP support recognition

High-LTV customers who contact support receive a Klaviyo thank-you email from the founder after resolution, boosting retention.

Suppress during open tickets

Block promotional emails to customers who have an open support ticket — preventing tone-deaf marketing during a service issue.

Frequently asked questions

Does this require a Klaviyo paid plan?

The integration works with all Klaviyo plans. Flows and custom events are available on Klaviyo's free tier for accounts under 250 contacts; paid plans are required for larger lists.

How does SupportSyndicate match customers to Klaviyo profiles?

By email address. If the customer's email in SupportSyndicate matches a Klaviyo profile, the event and properties update that profile. If no match exists, a new profile is created.

Can I send Klaviyo data back into SupportSyndicate?

Not directly via the native integration — data flows from SupportSyndicate to Klaviyo. For reverse sync (e.g., flagging Klaviyo VIP customers in SupportSyndicate), use the Zapier integration as a bridge.
